Job.com Reviewer's Comments
Job.com is a functional service site that offers basic features such as job posting and resume browsing and postings. However, the top products offer resume database searches and more resume management and portfolio options.
Job.com gives you four package options that include job postings and resume browsing.
The Basic Package is $199 per month and has an initial term of three months and includes three job postings with complete access to a searchable resume database.
The Professional Package for $179 per month offers more flexibility. You receive a 10% discount and two additional postings to use during an initial term of six months.
The Corporate Package at $149 per month gives you full access to the Job.com resume database during an initial term of 12 months along with 15 job ads.
The Enterprise Package is $99 per month and provides a 50% discount and the ability to search their entire resume database, as often as you want, for an initial term of 24 months.
Job Seeker:
Job.com utilizes the resume posting services of ResumeZapper.com to distribute resumes to recruiters or you can search their database of job postings by keyword, location, job category, salary or posting date.
Additional Features:
This service offers to the job seeker an “Awesome Resume!” feature that is a professional resume writing service. The prices for this service range from $99 to $200 for resumes and $10–$50 for thank you or cover letters.
Articles/Advice:
Job.com offers many free articles on various topics including stress–free interview tips, getting the best out of job fairs, negotiating salary and more.
Ease of Use:
Job .com is easy to navigate with useful drop down menus for both employers and job seekers.
Help/Support:
Job.com lacked in this area. They do not provide FAQs, a phone number or online help. The only way to contact Job.com is by email. When we sent them an email inquiry we received only form letter replies and not actual responses.
Summary:
Overall, Job.com is a great service for resume and job postings and browsing, but lacks a few features that the top services have such as resume and candidate management tools.
